Securit 6400 is the preferred choice for users who wish to use an existing database for the production of ID cards. Securit 6400 is ODBC compliant and can be easily connected to databases such as Oracle, SQL Server and Microsoft Access.
With Securit 6400's modular structure, it is easy to connect to an existing database (with Database Layout Creator) and create card layouts (with Badge Creator). Once the database structure is set and the layouts created, the operator uses 6400 to add photos and signatures to the database, check data and card design and print the cards. Photos and signatures can be stored as Binary Large Objects inside the existing database or as separate files.
Securit 6400 has all the advanced options needed by large organisations or service bureaux: automatic fill options, bulk input, advanced barcode library, multiple photo storage per record and magstripe & chip encoding.
Unlike many other packages, we store the photos as BLOBS in a separate table. This leads to greater speed as we only retrieve the data that is required and the number of records doesn't matter as the software is scalable. Packages where text and pictures are stored in one table are noticably slower, the larger the database gets.
